“It always seems impossible until it’s done.”
Nelson Mandela
I must have selected this quote during one of my down swings.
See, I have this pattern: New idea 🥳 → Plan, jot down ideas, make pretty lists 📋→ Create 🪴→ Run into a problem ⛓️💥→ EVERYTHING IS POINTLESS. I’M SUCH A FAILURE. 😩😢🫨😳
I must have been in the last phase of an idea when I saw this, because at the beginning of any idea or venture, I don’t believe in impossible. Life is grand, I can do anything I set my mind to. I’m smart, creative and ‘got this’.
But what I often lack is grit.
And GRIT is important!
Grit takes you past the problem, past the failure, past the ‘impossible’ into being the one who did it, the one who wouldn’t give up and accomplished what no one believed you could.
Grit is something I need more of and Grit is what I’m building. Because I was born to do the impossible.
