“To live is the rarest thing in the world. most people exist, that is all.”
Oscar Wilde
I think this is one of my biggest fears – due to the fact that I have just existed for so long. I just go with the flow, do the next thing, with no vision, no plan, no roadmap. Maybe this is why now, or maybe this was the problem the whole time, I plan soooo much. And the planning takes so long the action rarely happens. It is just occurring to me, that THIS could be my problem, why I exist – I plan, but don’t execute. I dream, but don’t jump.
And apparently, I am not the only one. But how do we break this cycle?
My plan – I made a list of over 300 things I wanted out of life. I was supposed to be reading it every day but I don’t. I’m going to print it out and stick with my daily devotionals and read it every day.
I’m going to commit to DO at least 3 things a week. I want to say to do something everyday, but the reality is, there are mundane things that have to be done, circumstances that pop up that we can’t control. So, at least TWO things a week that I pull the trigger on. This week is done. I launched 2 digital products. And I’m going to keep going. Next, I’m going to join some sort of community. I need to get myself and my kids around people. Also, I want to find something to sell at a Farmer’s Market – dog treats? Home-made Salsa? So, find a recipe and perfect it enough for selling.
Life is short. I’ve been reading in Ecclesiastes and it will really get you thinking about your life and how much you enjoy it or don’t. I’m not waiting to enjoy life. I’m going to enjoy it now. Each day.
